Job Description
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES
Development expert who has a
strong background on database, infrastructure, Unix and windows system level
knowledge. This position will participate in the implementation of the
In-Memory database for critical customers, will analyze business requirements, design
the database model, extract, transform and load data, troubleshoot issues on
database, ETL tools and BI applications. The team member will also be working
on the different products and Business applications built within DNA and being
part of customer implementation group taking it to the customers.
EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS
- Good understanding of various
databases, HANA in-memory.
- Database model design.
- Develop and implement database
administration standards and procedures.
- Perform database administration,
monitoring, troubleshooting.
- Infrastructure know-how,
installing, configuring databases and data load from different data sources.
- Document landscape setups for
each project.
- Monitor, secure and backup
database content.
- Assist in the infrastructure
requirements and subsequent developments.
- HANA Modeling / universe
modeling knowledge would be a plus.
- Good communication skills,
collaborative team player and strong individual contributor to take lead on key
technical drives of a customer project are expected.
EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS
/ SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES
- Bachelor degree in Software
Engineering, Computer Science or related fields
- Skills on database
architecture design and implementation.
- Skills on database model
design, meta data management.
- Skills on Unix shell
scripting.
- Skills on infrastructure and
network tools.
- Skills on database
administration, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Having worked on various
customer projects would be a plus.
WORK EXPERIENCE
-Minimum of 8 years of
development and database domain experience, with strong skill on database
Design, development, troubleshooting, and administration.
- Experience on HANA NewDB
database and Data Services would be an advantage.
